Smooth Criminal

Oy vey! My apologies, peeps, for no blog post last week. I had every intention of writing it on Tuesday [like I do every Tuesday] but after my #stylecrazed photoshoot that morning with 656 Photography I quickly discovered that I had a 100º temp = YEP! Jenna got that nasty flu bug that’s been going around – putting me out of commission all of last week, which of course, sucked because who likes being sick AND secondly, we all know how well I sit still ;) LOL! But the good news is I am better now [minus my sinuses and their love/hate relationship to those Santa Ana winds] I attribute my quick bounce back to my clean lifestyle, lots of puppy love, and binge-watching Madam Secretary on Netflix [thank you, Ashley, for the awesome recommend] now I’m back and ready to get caught back up on that ole to-do list, but not before I share a new #OOTD with you! I know SPRING is right around the corner but I’m still fully enjoying my WINTER wardrobe and feeling like a SMOOTH CRIMINAL in this layered ensemble complete with hat!

This is sorta of outfit I love = one that just totally falls together with ease. I had originally put this necklace, dress, tights and pumps together for the San Diego Business Journal’s 500 Party where my husband was being honored in December, but then upped the entire look once when I received this surprise of a delivery coat from Cabi [it was initially sold out] and purchased this cool fedora from Nordstrom over the Christmas holiday. Is it just me or do you buy every fun hat you run across online?! Haha.

I know this can be considered a little overdressed for SoCal’s laidback ways, but since I’ve never been one to try to fit in, I’m not worried about it ;) PLUS in my year of embracing my “MORE IS MORE” eye for design, this ensemble is the HALLELUJAH to any wardrobe hungry’s PRAISE! Can I get an AMEN?!

It’s just another colorfully-flawless look that makes me genuinely smile and be happy on this CRAZY-BEAUTIFUL journey we call life :) and that’s exactly what the armor in our closet’s is meant to do for us, ladies = to lift us up when we don’t feel delicious, give us strength when we are weak, and to ultimately let the world know how proud we are of who we are! Let your clothes help with the load when we just can’t!

“My day-to-day wardrobe, I do mix it up. I’ll wear something from Target along with something by YSL. It’s about finding the right items that make you happy.” — Ginnifer Goodwin

So don’t be afraid to be bold and mix it up ;) this is unlike any other outfit I have worn here on LLM before and I am just loving it; embracing it in all it’s uniqueness and smoothness. I hope this will encourage you to do the same and play it up with the items already at your finger tips! MUAH!!
