Mixing Years with Prints!

2018 . . . so far, so good = only in its third week of its new orbit and this year has already got me pretty busy, y’all, with lots of prospective Homebird Upholstery clients, a YouTube channel launching in a few months AND the Cabi Scoop happening right here tomorrow at the San Diego Convention Center. Yep, I have this gut feeling that this particular set of 365 days is going to be a jammed pack one [but in a totally good way] so I better buckle up, Buttercup, because it’s not the time to walk but to sprint with GLEE :)

I honestly don’t know what’s gotten into the “new and improved Jenna,” but DAMN girl, you have so much buoyant ENERGY! I guess it’s because I’m just so jazzed to devour all the things on my plate all the while actually feeling grateful for all the CRAP that happened over the past few years. I’m quickly learning that sometimes you’ve got to crawl through those dirty/back-stabbing trenches in order to see that bright/positive future of a SUN ;) taking the best of your past and making the most delicious LEMONADE.

And that’s what this OUTFIT OF THE DAY is all about = mixing two of my favorite wardrobe items from 2016 and 2017 to create one brand new SWANKY look! You might recognize the top from when I dared to wear silk pajamas in public back in April of 2016, OR my striped pants, from my most popular blog post in 2017 when I embraced my inner flower child and climbed to top of a very spring-tastic mountain last March [IN HEELS] see not everything was shabby the past two years . . . my closet grew in chicness too!

Then you pair these older babies with some funky frames, a fiercely-red faux fur collar [you know to help bring out that top’s subtle rouge] fishnet stockings and those blue velvet platforms AND you’ve got yourself the sort of “more is more” ensemble that I’m always striving for ♥ LIVING MY MOST COLORFUL SELF ♥ embracing all of my quirks, addictions, flaws [not to mention] that Packman mouth of a Mrs! HAHA. And that’s what I hope to help you gain on here = for YOU TO DO YOU and ONLY YOU!

“I think that a woman wears so many hats, we have so many aspects to us that we’re not just one thing. We represent so much within us and that kind of comes across for me as a designer through mixing prints and colors.” — Rachel Roy

Because I am armed with the knowledge of how powerful individualism can be in this life and I know that I have struggled on my own to keep this vision clear with you AND have probably [at times] come across a little narcissistic, but honestly the reason I started this blog over five years ago was to help others find their HaPpY as I was finding mine. It’s a constant evolution, y’all, just like our closets ;) and that’s why you should prepare yourself for LOTS of change coming to LLM this year. It’s going to be FABULOUS!
