Good Denim Madewell!

I honestly cannot believe it’s August, ya’ll, but I am welcoming it with a full-fledged smile! It’s been a loooooong summer here in the desert region of San Diego, and with this coming of the calendar, the cooler days of fall are hopefully only a month or so away. Hopefully. And even though, this summer has been good to me with fun times with friends and constant upholstery work, I’m ready to start transitioning to the new season ahead = in my planning and DEFINITELY in my closet . . . and one of the easiest ways I find to do THAT while Mother Nature wanders over into the new equinox is to mix and match my summer wardrobe with a good pair of jeans. Just like I did today for my outfit ;) these jeans have been on repeat every since I got them three years ago at Madewell [seriously the BEST place to get your denim fix – seriously – not a sponsored post – they are simply that good] and they fit as great as the day I bought them. They hit right at my natural waist and are the perfect slim for my Olive Oyl frame, but are also lightweight enough for when the temp still wants to be a scorcher but I don’t want to wear shorts.

“I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.” — Audrey Hepburn

Besides full-time “jean season” being right around the corner, there are so many things I’m excited for this month and for the coming fall ahead = for example, my brother will be here in little over a week to visit and I have lots of FUN planned from both him and I during his stay! There’s multiple Fashion Week San Diego events on the calendar including their October runway shows [start planning those outfits now, Jenna!] OH, and I’m already doing business planning for the 2018 year, which has me both creatively pumped and mental drained. Lol. I also believe I’ll finally be caught up with my waiting list for my Homebird Upholstery clientele, which hasn’t happened in about year, so that will be a stupendous feeling. Yep, looking forward to A LOT and feeling grateful too! Maybe that’s why I was grooving so with PINK today . . . or maybe I was just connecting with my inner Flamingo ;) HAHA! Either way, it’s a nice outfit to help the closet transitioning begin, don’t y’all think?! What are you most looking forward to in the season ahead??
