Transitional Clothing For San Diego’s Fall

With the end of Labor Day weekend, I always find it humorous to hear fellow San Diegans say that it’s the official end of summer. I mean I know that technically it sort of is but America’s Finest City’s hotter temperatures always tend to linger well into the fall, making fashionistas like myself who love sweater weather dreadfully wait. Thus, today I thought I would share with you how I personally make it through this travesty ;) haha!

The answer? Well for me, it’s all about lighter layers, sleeveless tops, and keeping those long legs of mine out!

For whatever reason, I’ve always been okay with my legs being chilled but absolutely cannot stand to have my upper body the least bit cold. So needless to say, I have lots of layers in my closet’s arsenal. This one in particular is one of my two favorites. I’ve had it for three falls now and still adore its vegan leather details.

Which made the purchase of this J.Crew vegan leather skirt for last fall’s Fashion Week San Diego’s runway shows a no-brainer :) it perfectly matches making it looks like a matched set and I’ve been wearing them together ever since.

The sleeveless top is ideal for San Diego’s warm falls so that when the midday heat hits or the Santa Ana’s decide to blow through, you can easily remove your top layer and not miss a beat in your step; giving you a more than versatile look for what can be a more than bipolar September, October, and November ;)

And speaking of fall, what are you most excited for this season? I’m really looking forward to spending some time doing the activities I’ve always wanted to do in San Diego this time of year. In fact, tomorrow I’m driving down to Julian, California with my girlfriend Leslie to go apple picking with her and my mother [who is here this week visiting from Nebraska] should be some fun girltime. Not to mention, there will be pie :) have a wonderful weekend, y’all!
