On A Bike Ride

Happy Monday, LLMers! How was your weekend? I spent mine upholstering up a storm [of course] I’m hoping to finish THAT chair today and then blog about it for Wednesday. Yep, on another deadline over here, but then again, what business owner isn’t?! ;) Lately, I’ve been doing much better with the whole work/life balance thingy = making sure to eat right, workout, make time for me [when I can] . . . you know taking joy in the things that keep this Lucky Little Mustardseed smiling!

And one of those things has been riding my very Peewee Herman-esque bike around our beautiful community that is Pauma Valley Country Club. It’s kind of hard to believe that this Saturday marks 6 months of us living here! Crazy, right?!

But then again, it’s not like we haven’t been dealing with house project after house project . . . not to mention, how busy my upholstery business has been lately. Either way, though, I absolutely love it here and never EVER want to leave.

That’s why having this bike is such a fabulous thing. Whenever I want, I can just take it out for a light ride through our quiet streets. Either for some fresh air or just to pick-up some fresh flowers. Plus, it’s about time I started using this thing . . . did I mention this was the first Christmas gift my now-husband gave to me? Well, it was [isn’t he sweet] but I guess this former #farmgirl just didn’t feel comfortable riding it around the busy streets of the coast. Sorry, Carlsbad!

So I guess you could say I’m making up for some lost time ;) LOL!

When I’m out riding my bike, I like my clothing to be cute but yet majorly functional. I think it’s just silly to see someone riding along in sandals. I honestly hate it. It’s SO bad for your feet too. I mean what if you have an “opps!” or something, you could really hurt yourself. That’s also why I prefer to wear jeans [even when it’s hot] because Murphy should have totally been my middle name . . . as in Murphy’s Law. I’m a klutz, and for whatever reason, am prone for an accident here and there. And yes, technically, I SHOULD have a helmet on, but then again, how could I with such a cute hat like this :) HAHA!
