Originally, me and D were supposed to attend today’s inaugural Opening Day of the first-ever Bing Crosby Season at Del Mar Thoroughbred Club. However, we are both dealing with such CrAzY schedules at the moment = thus we decided it was far better to work than to play. [Dang adulthood!] Anyway, since I had already shot a #stylecrazed look for today’s previous planned festivities, I thought I would still share it with you. I mean it IS kind of too cute not to ;) RIGHT?!
I sometimes feel like I was born in the wrong era . . . because most of the things I love in life are either vintage or are of a “vintage” nature. For example, when I was in New York City a year ago, I found this very hat you see before you in an Anthropologie store. I plopped it on my head and instantaneously fell in love with it. Did I necessarily know where I would wear it? Umm, no. I did not. Although, I rarely do :) but you already know that by now, don’t you!? Lol. Once D told me about the new fall season at DMTC and that it was being dedicated to the late, great Bing Crosby, I knew a retro-inspired look was a must. SO, I took the hat I purchased for no apparent reason and paired it with this navy dress, a strand of long pearls, and my T-strap pumps. It honestly was pretty effortless and that’s always makes for the best kind of outfit.
“I really like the retro look. My regular clothing, I like to always keep it classy and I like to kind of be more dressed up more of the time. I’m not really someone you see in sweatpants a lot.” – Aly Raisman
I hope those of you WHO are lucky enough to experience the fun at DMTC today have an absolute blast – I will be spending the rest of my day daydreaming about racing ponies and tasty cocktails!
