My Civic Duty

Yesterday, I was at the North County Regional Center . . .

My Civic Duty

AND it wasn’t because I was guilty of something either. Instead, for the second time [in little over a year] I was summoned for jury duty. For some people, this might be a nice day away from the office. For me, on the other hand, I am a self-employed creative, so if I’m not at work = stuff doesn’t get done. And if stuff doesn’t get done, I make no moola. Now, I totally understand that this is part of my civic duty like voting. I mean I did show up after all ;) I guess there are more bad happenings in sunny SoCal than my Midwest upbringings. I just remember my parents being beckoned one MAYBE two times each my first 18 years. Anyway, sorry that this is a “blah” kind of a blog post. Trust me. I would have much rather been making something OR cooking something OR [well] pretty much anything OTHER than having my tukus falls asleep in an un-comfy, waiting room chair awaiting my fate.

Luckily, however, I ended up not being selected and can be one crafty wizard today – HUZZAH!
