LLM Loves: May 2014

May Gray has officially hit San Diego, folks :( and although it’s really gloomy outside, I cannot help but feel chipper. I mean how could I not!? The fires have been extinguished. It’s warmer outside. AND, I ran across some pretty neat stuff this month :)

LLM Loves: May 2014

#1. Tweezerman Procurl Eyelash Curler

A lady is always in need of a good eyelash curler, right? Yes, I already had one, but nothing this nice. Plus, it’s in rose gold. How could I pass that up?!

#2. Rosanna’s Alphabet Studio Trays

I’ve been eyeing these babies for months now, AND since I’m currently putting the finishing touches on our master bedroom’s décor, I decided a few of these trays would make for a fine addition.

#3. Dolce & Gabbana DG3155 Eyewear in Color 2699

As I told you in Farewell, Beloved Frames!, I lost a pair of glasses for the first time this month. So, when I went into Andrew’s Optical looking for replacements, I honestly was only looking for one pair, BUT ended up leaving there with three :/ this is one of the new trio. Maybe someday I’ll have a set of glasses in every hue . . . okay, maybe not, but a gal can dream!

#4. Grande Remonte-Pente Maple Syrup

If you follow me on Instagram, you know how #meandD love our Sunday brunches, ESPECIALLY at The Compass in the Carlsbad Village. Their breakfast menu has little bit of everything AND includes this amazing syrup for their French Toast. It is so yummy I had to hunt down a bottle for ourselves online.

#5. Geo Fox Apparel’s Adult “Sunshine Daydreams” Tee

This is a cool t-shirt, BUT the real reason I got this was to help raise funds for a little boy’s funeral, who was taken too soon from the ones he loved and the ones who loved him. His name was Ryan Cruz Saldana and his mother’s blog is Baby Boy Bakery. It’s a gut-wrenching story and makes me so insanely sad. How could I not buy one of these to help keep his memory alive?!

#6. Kate Spade New York  “Grand Tour” Wicker Camera Shoulder Bag

Yep, my Kate Spade addiction continues. I made this last minute purchase right before we went to the KC Royals series at Padres Stadium. It was the perfect size; had just enough room for my camera, phone, and sunglasses.

#7. Mrs. Lilien’s Dessert Cocktail Swatchbook

The queen of the cocktail = Mrs. Lillien is at it again . . . only this time it’s dessert-themed. My current fave is Minty Lemon Sorbet Float, but I’m sure that will change as the summer progresses ;) there’s no reason your home bar cart shouldn’t include this and her other swatchbook: Mrs. Lilien’s Cocktail Swatchbook. Cheers!

#8. Cold Play’s New Album: Ghost Stories

I love me some Cold Play and their newest album will NOT disappoint. It’s beautiful, soulful, and sadly, gives you a glimpse into lead singer, Chris Martin’s, recent heartbreak – well, at least, that’s how I’m interpreting most of the new lyrics.

#9. Margaritaville Explorer Cordless Frozen Concoction Maker in White

You all know how #meandD are a couple of Parrotheads. And although, I do love a fine margarita from time to time, the real reason behind this splurge of a purchase is because of my recent trip to Wilson Creek Winery in Temecula. They produce my favorite champagne and on said last visit, it was a warm day and they were putting their champagne in a slushy machine. BEST. THING. EVER. So, it left me wanting more [of course], so D said get a Margaritaville Machine :) so I did!

#10. New Balance 410 Floral Blur Running Sneaker in Grey Multi

I am DONE with flip-flops. I don’t know if this means I’m getting older or what, but for years, they were all I ran around in at home. Not anymore! They hurt my feet, so I have found myself buying more and more sneakers as of late. These are my newest pair. I’m not usually into floral print but these babies were too cute to pass up!

“Summer means happy times and good sunshine. It means going to the beach, going to Disneyland, having fun.” – Brian Wilson

That’s another month in the books for 2014. Is it just me or is this year going fast or what?
