Personally, I’m little behind on my days. This morning, I even went to 7:00 a.m. Hot Flow just so I could squeeze in another class before the crazy weekend ahead. Yep, yoga and I did NOT jive this week. Why? Honestly, work was crazy. I didn’t manage my time well. I also overbooked my calendar . . . at the root of it all however, I didn’t make yoga a priority. And that happens to all of us from time to time = life collides with yoga. BUT, there’s a reason it’s called a “practice.”
In order to receive the true benefits of yoga, Jenna, you HAVE to make time!
It’s THAT. Plain and simple. I just need to figure out a way to remind myself of that every single week ;) I mean it’s humorous how surprised I get every time I achieve a new pose. It’s not like it’s rocket science. It always happens when I’m consistently on my mat. In fact, last year March Madness made me finally accomplish Dancer’s Pose – something I had been struggling with for months! I was so giddy with excitement AND it’s because of putting myself through that challenge, I was able to attain it!
“Anyone who practices can obtain success in yoga but not one who is lazy. Constant practice alone is the secret to success.” – Hatha Yoga Pradipika
