Style Crazed: A Dash of Teal

Sometimes all a woman needs is a unique pair of pumps to bring an outfit full circle.

Style Crazed: Spunk

Glasses: Prada / Necklace: Nordstrom Rack / Dress: Victoria’s Secret / Pumps: DSW

This “sort of styled like a wrap dress” dress is a prime example of something I am guilty of all the time: buying an article of clothing without the slightest clue on how I’m going to style it . . . and I KNOW I am not alone in this, ladies! It’s just something we do! Anyway, this is not a new ensemble for me. Nope. When I was managing special events and an art gallery at a non-profit theatre a couple years ago [back before I took the self-employed leap] it was one of my go-to looks = that I still pull out of my closet every few months. Now, I’m a firmer believer that fashion can almost be kismet. Why? Well, like I said before, I didn’t have a plan with this dress. The package was delivered. I tried the purchase on. It fit. And then it was time to go “rummage city” through my closet. I was in search for the perfect shoe and I have A LOT of shoes! Of course, some patent black leather pumps were a clear choice, but since I never like to go for the obvious ;) I kept searching UNTIL I stumbled upon a pair of purple-ish navy pumps with bright teal heels. Yes, there was no teal in the actual dress, BUT the other 85% of the shoe perfectly matched its blue. So I threw them on, added a silver/teal necklace and the rest is history!

So next time you’re in a fashion conundrum, look towards your shoes for the answer.

I don’t leave a comment, but I read a few of the remarks here Style
Crazed: A Dash of Teal | Lucky Little Mustardseed. I
do have a few questions for you if you don’t mind.
Is it simply me or does it look like like a few of the responses look like they are left by brain dead visitors?
:-P And, if you are writing at additional places, I’d like to follow you.
Would you post a list of all of all your social networking pages like your twitter feed, Facebook page
    or linkedin profile?
