Mine are off to an okay start . . . BUT they could always be better, so I decided to:
Post It. Remember It. Conquer It.
Or, at least, that’s what I’m calling it. I figured the reason why so many of us fail at our New Year’s resolutions, goals, [or whatever you like to call them] is because it’s incredibly difficult to keep these sorts of things on our minds when we’re ALL so busy! I mean if you don’t see a reminder each and every day, how do you plan to succeed? You can disagree with me AND if you prove me wrong, I will dub you an Evolutionist Wizard right here on the blog ;) I personally need the help. Last year, I remembered my 2013 to-do’s for about two months, but shortly after that, I couldn’t have even told you what they actually were – exactly how I had to look them up when writing my 2014’s.
Anyway, back to my theory = Post It. Remember It. Conquer It.
It’s a pretty simple task. All you need to do is create something to help cue your wants for the year ahead. For example, yesterday, I grabbed a frame and some scrapbook paper [I already had], typed and printed up my list, and VOILA! I made a constant reminder for this year’s objectives and it was OH-SO easy!
“Character is the ability to carry out a good resolution long after the excitement of the moment has passed.” – Cavett Robert
Now, if I can just decide where to hang it – ANY IDEAS?
