My mom and 85-year-old grandma are here visiting us from my home state of Nebraska.
And [OH MY] what fun we’ve been having!
For example, on Saturday, we drove down to the Gaslamp District of downtown San Diego for a 3-generation photo shoot with my dear friend, Kome, of KP Imagery By Design. Her photography studio [here’s some history for you] actually inhabits an old building that was a bordello back in the day [SCANDALOUS!] and had my vintage-loving heart skipping a beat with every last architectural detail. It was just a seriously awesome space. Kome originally brainstormed up this “picture session” idea after a recent lunch we shared, AND since I definitely loved the idea, I quickly booked an appointment. She is everything you could want from a photographer. Kome is fun, professional, and insanely creative. Plus, she was one of the first people I met and befriended after moving to California, so she is a natural “go-to” professional for me [personally].
“You don’t make a photography just with a camera. You bring the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.“ – Ansel Adams
I will [of course] share the pictures with you once I have them ;) I can hardly wait!
