M’m! M’m! Good!

Awe, renting . . .

It definitely has it’s up’s and down’s.

ESPECIALLY when it comes to acknowledging your taste throughout your borrowed home.

M'm-M'm-Good

I’ve been renting [oh] ever since I moved out of my parents house ten or so years ago, and not to toot my own horn or anything, but I think I’ve got pretty good at making any space reveal its true inhabitants. Me and D love our current address, but some parts of it just aren’t “us.” For example the backsplash above our gas stove in the kitchen. It’s nice but isn’t our cup of tea. So, after some brainstorming and one trusty 3M hook, I covered it with some work from one of our favorite artists, Andy Warhol. It honestly transformed the kitchen and made it feel much more as our place. I mean sure I will have to cover it with a dish cloth if cooking something splattery [that’s a word, right?], but it’s a chore I’ll gladly take in the name of interior design ;)

“We represent ourselves through the things we own. I don’t believe in trends. I believe in collecting things that you connect with. We should surround ourselves with things we care about, that have meaning.” – Nate Berkus

In what ways do you make your leased abode YOU?
