Two weeks from tomorrow = my mom and 85-year-old grandmother will be here.
I AM BEYOND EXCITED!
Let’s see: I have not seen my mom since last November [when her and dad came out to visit] and my grandmother, well, since my other grandma’s funeral back in December 2011 . . . [YIKES!] Thank goodness for the telephone and text messaging, because, otherwise, I’m not sure how I would handle this distance between visits.
Why has it been this long?
[Umm] to be honest, I actually didn’t comprehend that so much time had passed until I just did the math. [Kind of sad, right?!] I mean I do know it’s been a whirl-a-wind of change for me personally the past two years, but at the same time, I do realize I need to make a trip back to Nebraska a priority for my 2014.
But, anyway, I am SOOO delighted about their visit.
I have so many things I want to do between now and then. I have a couple client jobs to finish, a house to prepare, and a whole slew of projects I would like to see completed before their luggage finds our doorstep – I guess time will tell ;)

However, no matter what state our home is in when they arrive, I am going to soak up every single moment I can with them, because who knows how long we each have with the ones we love!
