We’re Moving!

2013 is right around the corner, and its bringing D and me more than just a New Year but a new address.

I’m activating Operation: Move.

So far, so good!

I’ve contracted a moving company, washer/dryer rental pick-up is scheduled, house-cleaning service is booked, but I’ve only accomplished the tip of the very depth-defying glacier that is moving.

Instead of curling up in the fetal position and downing a couple dozen white fudge covered Oreos [okay, maybe I’ll still eat a few], I’m going to EAT THE FROG!

Now, I’m not talking about the cuisine here, people. No, I’m not. It’s a simple phrase I learned about a couple months ago and it’s beyond awesome. It plainly means to tackle the task you least want to do. EAT THE FROG! It actually comes from the book Eat That Frog! by Brian Tracy. I’ve never read it, but according to good ole Amazon, it sold over than 450,000 copies and was translated into 23 languages [pretty impressive].

Anyway, in order for me to EAT THE FROG! I had to get organized, which meant sitting down and doing the painful assignment of creating the ambitiously scary to-do list.

[Oy vey!]

I found this cool list making notepad by Knock Knock. If you don’t know them, you neeeeeed to get acquainted (www.knockknockstuff.com) [Thank me later.] It is perfect for list makers – and probably for those who should be! It made my task at hand so much easier. I could write down stuff for this week in the “SHORT” section and all the other pending crap this month in the “LONG” section.

And you know what?

I found this cool list making notepad by Knock Knock.

The list is now complete. I picked up that little jumping amphibian and swallowed it whole. Why was something so easy so eerie??? Not sure, but I’m sure going to put this EAT THE FROG! concept into action more often!

Later! I must go floss – I have some reptile in my teeth ;)

Please, share your thoughts about this post. Be kind & play nice.
