Yesterday afternoon, I decided to run errands – a usually overall easy task. The hurdle of the problem was it’s last minute “holiday shopping” season. Yep, everyone’s balls to wall – running around with their heads cut off. It was a silly idea, but I perserved.

By the time I got home, though, I had to find a quick fix for supper, so I reached for a simply delicious, easily made meal.
I call them Comfort Crescents.
1 can Pillsbury refrigerated crescent rolls, 8 count [I LOVE their Big & Flaky ones.]
8 thin slices cooked ham
8 thin slices Provolone, each cut into 2 strips [You can pretty much use any cheese. We’re a Provolone household.]
Directions: Heat your oven to 350°F. Separate dough into 8 triangles. Place 1 piece of ham on each triangle. Then place 2 strips of cheese down center of ham. Fold in edges of ham to match shape of dough triangle. Roll each crescent stopping at the end of triangle tip. Place with tips down on parchment-covered cookie sheet. Bake about 18 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from cookie sheet. Serve warm. Feel comfort.
Might be a good dish for today, you know, with the world ending and all ;)
